TELETOON gives fans a sneak peek of the highly anticipated TELETOON Original Production Total Drama World Tour with the world premiere of the first episode on Thursday, June 10 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. This special presentation debuts in advance of the series premiering in its regular weekly slot this fall season.
Following on the heels of the popular Fresh TV series Total Drama Action and Total Drama Island, Total Drama World Tour brings an international twist and musical spin. This new season will continue the series’ hilarious tradition of parodying reality shows, bringing back some of the fan-favourite past contestants and a few exciting new faces. The crew gets another chance at fame and fortune as they are flown all over the world for a chance at another million-dollar grand prize. In this season’s elimination ceremony, losing contestants take the “drop of shame†as they are handed a parachute and pushed out of the plane. The remaining teens will face the usual scary, embarrassing and sometimes even disgusting challenges.
Prior to the Total Drama World Tour premiere, viewers can catch up on the last season’s events with a marathon of four back-to-back episodes of Total Drama Action Thursday, June 3 at 6 p.m. ET/PT. Selected episodes of Total Drama Action will also be available online at teletoon.com.
Leading up to the world premiere on Thursday, June 10, TELETOON will air the final three episodes of Total Drama Action on from 6 p.m. ET/PT to 7:30 p.m. ET/PT, followed by the premiere of Celebrity Manhunt’s Total Drama Action Reunion Special at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT. In this spoof of celebrity-crazed entertainment shows, pesky hosts dig up the latest dirt on the Total Drama cast for a brand new one-hour presentation.
Total Drama World Tour will premiere the complete 26-episode series every Thursday evening beginning September 2010.
The series is created and produced by Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch of Fresh TV Inc., the team behind TELETOON Original Productions 6TEEN and Stoked. The Total Drama franchise, which launched on TELETOON in June 2007 with the premiere of Total Drama Island, has quickly become one of the network’s top-rated series. The reality show-inspired concept was maintained for Total Drama Action, the successful Hollywood-themed second season. The franchise has since been licensed to Cartoon Network.
Total Drama Island and Total Drama Action are also available on iTunes and Video on Demand.
