SPLICED PREMIERES AND THE FORCE IS STILL EVERYWHERE ON TELETOON THIS APRIL

There is no foolin’ on April 1 when the world premiere of TELETOON Original Production Spliced airs on Thursday, April 1 at 8:30 p.m.

Entrée is a cow-pig-chicken-tuna-shrimp hybrid who sweats gravy. Princess Pony Apehands has the body of a gorilla, the head of a pony and the personality of a six-year-old girl. Mr. Smarty Smarts, a cross between a dolphin, a chimp and a Jack Russell Terrier, holds three internet degrees. In the unpredictable universe of Spliced, bizarre creatures like these are run-of-the-mill. A brand new TELETOON Original Production , the series follows a group of dim-witted mutants as they attempt to build a society after they are abandoned by the doctor who created them.

In the series premiere on Thursday, April 1 at 8:30 p.m., Peri (short for “Failed exPERIment number 13”) discovers that the doctor created him to serve as Entrée’s best friend. Peri vows never to leave Entrée’s side, but his constant presence may cause their friendship more harm than good. Viewers have a second chance to catch the episode on Sunday, April 4 at 8:30 p.m. Spliced moves to its regular time on Thursday, April 8, with all-new episodes airing Thursdays at 7 p.m. and again on Sundays at 7 p.m.

YTV returns to the wilderness with Survive This, Season 2

• Hosted again by real Survivorman Les Stroud, Survive This, Season 2 premieres with two back-to-back episodes Monday, April 19 at 7 p.m.

Corus Entertainment’s YTV returns to the backwoods with real Survivorman Les Stroud and a new group of teens in the second season of YTV’s original series Survive This. Leaving all the comforts of home, eight teens are put to the test to see if they have what it takes to make it through to the hour-long season finale. Produced by 9 Story Entertainment in association with YTV, Survive This premieres on Monday, April 19 at 7 p.m. with two back-to-back episodes, new episodes will air in the show’s regular timeslot Mondays at 7:30 p.m.
