CTV Orders New Comedy Pilot Dan for Mayor

While politicians are stumping for votes across the country, CTV has thrown its support behind a new mayor. CTV announced today it has commissioned a new scripted, half-hour comedy pilot, Dan For
Mayor, starring Corner Gas co-star Fred Ewanuick. This is the second comedy pilot ordered in as many weeks, following last week’s announcement that CTV has commissioned a pilot for Brent Butt’s latest project, Hiccups. Dan For Mayor is created by three of Canada’s most respected comedy writers and
producers – Mark Farrell (Corner Gas, This Hour Has 22 Minutes), Paul Mather (Corner Gas, Rick Mercer Report) and Kevin White (Corner Gas, This Hour Has 22 Minutes). The pilot for Dan for Mayor is slated to begin production outside Toronto on October 20.
