Call For Entries for the 2008 Shaw Rocket Prize

From a media release:

The Shaw Rocket Prize announces that submissions are now being accepted for its signature $50,000 juried, winner-take-all prize for best independently produced Canadian children’s program.

This year, the Shaw Rocket Prize will celebrate the best children’s program by accepting submissions for programs with a target audience of children 12 and under. Any genre or format is eligible and all program lengths are welcome. Submission details can be found at www.rocketfund.ca. The deadline for entries is November 16, 2007.

    “On Tuesday, the season premiere of the Rick Mercer Report was watched by 993,000 viewers thanks to Conrad Black’s comedic turn. At 9, The Tudors attracted 957,000 in its sturdy debut. However, Monday’s Dragons’ Den attracted 389,000 and the very fine drama series Intelligence returned with only 221,000 viewers.” Read more.
