BRAVO! FACT PRESENTS – SHORTS IN MOTION: THE ART OF SEDUCTION

What’s seductive, lasts two minutes, but may leave you with a smile? Shorts in Motion: The Art of Seduction, a two-part anthology of 10 two-minute short films from filmmakers across Canada, makes its television premiere in two special instalments of Bravo!FACT Presents on October 27 and November 3 at 7:30pm ET / 4:30pm PT.

Directors, including Mark McKinney, Guy Maddin, Denis Villeneuve and k-os, were challenged to experiment with the idea of public space and sound in an immediate and personal way. On Bravo!, the eclectic films will air uncut, along with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, directorial interviews and video diaries. Certain Citytv and A-Channel stations will air a single episode featuring a selection of the films.

Season 3 of CTV’s Corner Gas Released on DVD Today

Bring home a piece of Dog River for good as CTV and Video Service Corporation release Season 3 of Canada’s hit comedy series Corner Gas on DVD today. Viewers can fill up with premium laughs at their convenience, with all 19 episodes of the series’ most-watched season yet available in a three-disc DVD package in stores across Canada. Each package is sealed in a limited edition, red collector’s case featuring a specially-commissioned mock comic book cover from Canadian Marvel and DC comic book artist Ron Boyd. In addition, the DVD contains a $15 coupon for a discount on a Corner Gas hockey jersey at the Corner Gas web store at www.cornergas.com.

The three-disc DVD package features all 19 original, half-hour episodes from Season Three, including the hit Christmas episode, “Merry Gasmas”, along with the W-FIVE documentary special “Beyond Corner Gas: Tales From Dog River”.

The DVD release comes four weeks before the publication of Penguin Canada’s new book Tales From Dog River: The Complete Corner Gas Guide. Penned by esteemed entertainment writer Michele Sponagle, the 200-page companion book hits bookstores on November 1.

The Corner Gas Season 1 DVD was named “Best Canadian DVD – English” by the Canadian Entertainment Network Awards and the Season 2 DVD was nominated again last year. Both DVD’s became instant hits, selling out in stores across Canada. In its third season, the multiple award-winning CTV series finished with its 50th consecutive million plus audience, highlighted by its first ever Christmas episode which drew 2.2 million viewers (2+, BBM).

Season 4 of Corner Gas returned Sept. 18 and remains the most-watched comedy series on television and Canada’s Number 1 homegrown television program. Corner Gas airs Mondays at 8:30 p.m. ET on CTV and Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The Comedy Network (check local listings).
