The designers are faced with their first team challenge. Working in pairs, the designers will send two outfits down the runway: a sophisticated day look and a dramatic evening look, based on L’Oreal Paris’ colour story for Spring 2009. The competition ramps up when the designers learn about the high-stakes prize – the winning designs will be featured in a nation-wide promotional campaign for L’Oreal Paris. Iman leads the judging panel to declare who wins and who doesn’t measure up.

  “Early in the season’s second episode, Jessica observes that something is beginning to change around these parts: after the first week where everyone was concerned about staying, they enter into one of two modes. They either, like Jessica and a few others, switch from survival mode to awesome mode, or they switch into a mode where all they have is personality-driven drivel.
