So You Think You Can Dance Canada is the country’s newest homegrown hit. Last night, 1.25 million viewers watched the two-hour series premiere on CTV, winning its timeslot and outpacing the Season 4 premiere of the American So You Think You Can Dance by 5%.

Hosted by MuchMusic’s Leah Miller, So You Think You Can Dance Canada kicks off its inaugural season for the search of Canada’s favourite dancer at the Toronto auditions. Judging whether the dancers have what it takes are permanent judges Tre Armstrong (How She Move) and Jean Marc Genereux (ballroom champion and guest judge/choreographer on the U.S. version of So You Think You Can Dance), alternating third judge Luther Brown (urban choreographer/Sean Combs) and special guest judge Mary Murphy from the U.S. version of the hit series.
