Comedy Network summer premieres include Todd & The Book of Pure Evil and Picnicface

This summer, two original Canadian productions, the Pythonesque sketch-series PICNICFACE (August, TBD) and the ground-breaking comedy-horror series, TODD & THE BOOK OF PURE EVIL (June 5 at 9 p.m. ET/ PT) come down the pipeline just in time to rev up viewers.

The Comedy Network welcomes back fan favourites including Season 2 of HICCUPS (June 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT) and DAN FOR MAYOR (June 10 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT) as well as Season 14 of COMEDY NOW! (July 8 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT).

HICCUPS (Season 2 Premiere)

As a new season begins, it’s still a case of the lost leading the lost, with the best of intentions and very little chance of success. In the Season 2 premiere, a trip to Hollywood is in order for Millie, Stan and Taylor to investigate some options for a Grumpaloo movie. Back at Haddison House, Joyce uses Anna and Crystal as guinea pigs to test homemade skin care products.

In Season 2, Dan Phillips is now the Mayor of Wessex. This season, he gets himself in trouble with the Chief of Police, a neighbouring mayor and a dodgy Ethics Commissioner. Dan haplessly navigates his way through his relationship with Claire while attempting to have a not-too-weird friendship with Claire’s ex, Mike. Dan also struggles to find time to have a beer with his old pal Jeff, the new owner of Fern’s Bar and Grill.
