New tonights: Heartland, Battle of the Blades, and All For One on CBC – season premieres

7:00 p.m. Heartland
(Season Premiere) Set against the stunning vistas of the Alberta Rocky Mountains, Heartland is a sprawling family drama that follows sisters Amy and Lou Fleming and their grandfather, Jack, through the highs and lows of life on a horse ranch. In Season Four, people drift back to Heartland, craving the familiarity of home and family only to discover that everything seems to have changed.

Series IV – Eps 1 – Homecoming – Amy tries to pretend that nothing has changed when Ty returns to Heartland with a surprise guest.

8:00 p.m. Battle of the Blades
(Season Premiere) (Special) Game On – There’s a nervous energy as this season’s 16 contestants meet each other for the first time as competitors, lace up their skates and hit the ice for boot camp training. Viewers are given a brief background on each of the hockey players and figure skaters, including their professional and personal lives, as well as why they have chosen to skate for a particular charity. As the men test out their figure skates, learn to lift and skate alongside their partners, it’s evident how far they need to come before the live performances begin. Appearances include Sandra Bezic, Kurt Browning, Tie Domi, Rex Harrington, Ron MacLean and Stephane Richer, as well as coaches and choreographers.

9:00 p.m. All For One with Debbie Travis
(Premiere) All For One with Debbie Travis is a new, inspiring hour-long prime-time reality series that has Canada’s beloved home renovating icon and best-selling author traveling across the country attempting to bring communities together to complete ambitious, modern-day ‘barn raisings’.
