Global Television today announced the next phase in its broadband video roll-out, leading with the first-to-market online premiere of a US primetime franchise, and the addition of complete episodes from the network’s Canadian news, drama, comedy and documentary programming slate.

Located at the online hub for Global Television,, this free, advertiser-supported offering features the Canadian broadband premiere of the smash Howie Mandel-hosted gamer, ‘Deal or No Deal’, in addition to daily editions of ‘Global National with Kevin Newman’, all new homegrown documentaries from the ‘Global Currents’ library, plus the debut seasons of steamy young-adult drama, ‘Falcon Beach’, and whip-smart comedy, ‘The Jane Show’.

Each of the programs will be available online following their television broadcast, with select episodes archived on a customised menu – giving audiences across Canada increased access and expanded choice in creating their Global Television experience on demand. Users can click the “VIDEO” tab on the home page to access the Global broadband player.

FALCON BEACH – Setting a new stage for young adult drama in Canada, Falcon Beach tells the story of local and vacationing young men and women sharing three months together in a fictional waterfront community on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. This steamy weekly hour is now heading into Season Two.

THE JANE SHOW – Keeping the comedy writer-actor genre alive, Second City alumnae Teresa Pavlinek stars as “Jane Black”, a thirty-something novelist who foregoes her dream in order to join the ‘normal’ working world – only to discover it’s anything but.
