CHUM Television announced today that â€œCanada’s Next Top Modelâ€ will return for Cycle 2 with Jay Manuel (â€œAmerica’s Next Top Modelâ€, â€œStyle Her Famousâ€) as Host/Executive Producer. The hugely popular Canadian reality series, based on the phenomenally successful â€œAmerica’s Next Top Modelâ€ franchise, will hit the airwaves on Citytv in the spring of 2007.

Beginning October 31st, 2006, â€œCanada’s Next Top Modelâ€ begins its nationwide search to find 10 participants — 10 young women who think they can make it in the high-stress, high-stakes world of modelling. Do you think you have what it takes to be â€œCanada’s Next Top Modelâ€? To enter, you must be female, between the ages of 18-27 and be prepared to spend five weeks away from your family and friends. The eight-part series will return to air on Citytv in the spring of 2007 and will provide dramatic twists and turns as participants compete to master the skills that are essential in the profession. The aspiring models will live together as they learn the ins-and-outs of the fashion industry from leading fashion experts.
Each one-hour episode is built around an important aspect of the modelling profession. Participants must demonstrate both inner and outer beauty as they learn to master the catwalk, fashion photo shoots and deal with the glare of the media, all under the watchful eye of surveillance cameras that chronicle every move. One cast member will be eliminated each week and the last model standing will win the coveted title of â€œCanada’s Next Top Modelâ€.
