Hello, I am Lori, I’ve lived on Vancouver Island, BC Canada since birth. The Jane Show, does not come on the air here until 0230 hrs Monday-Friday, and again at 0630hrs on Saturday also.
I gave 14 years of my life, working in a shabby old brick building, same colours, same lack of everything, and years behind in technology, which will never change! The largest employer on Vancouver Island just happens to be the Federal Government. I’m 48 yrs old, my hubby just turned 50 and has given the Feds, 30 years of civilian svc, which included several trips to Hamilton Ontario for coursing! He has 5 more years to go before he can retire and receive his full pension. He’d love to see the Jane Show, but it comes on at an insulting time of the wee hours of the morning, never receiving the acknowledgement this show truly deserves! My Dad gave the bastards 40 years of his life, only to learn just days after his retirement at the age of 55 that he had asbestosis and was given 6 months to live. He also worked his heart out in the nostalgic old brick buildings, that are not wheelchair friendly, as the Government only put freight elevators into the Supply Bldg! The Jane show has made my 14 years with the Federal Government, something to laugh my behind about, instead of 14 years of loathing for all the beaurocratic bullshit I survived as 1 of 3 civilian women, at the Naval Officer Training Centre. It was a comedy unto itself, and I no longer have any bitter feelings, thanx to the Jane Show, who has made me laugh those years away deep into my memory banks. I am disabled now, and I am always up in time to watch the Jane Show, which does wonders to ease the pain I live with every single day and night of my life! I am desperately trying to find somewhere I can purchase all of the Jane Show episodes no matter how old they may be, they are still very relevant to the Government Bldgs I worked in, many moons ago, and thanx to my hubby’s employment w/the Feds, the Office BS remains the same, and I was forced to retire for many reasons in 1988! I don’t have much to laugh about these days, which has made me a tried and true Fan of the Jane Show, forever in my heart. I laugh everytime I watch it, and it is a bloddy tragedy, that the Jane Show is not shown at a decent time in the daytime and evening, so all of the Federal Gov’t Employees, on the West Coast, can thoroughly enjoy and laugh at the shear irony of everything that is tolerated on a daily basis! HELLO EASTERN CANADA, WE LIVE THE LIFE OF THE JANE SHOW EVERYDAY HERE IN ANTIQUATED BUILDINGS WITH ANTIQUATED EQUIPMENT SCRATCHING AND CLAWING OUR WAY UP THE LADDER TO THE TOP OF OUR PAY SCALE AND RANK AS CIVILIANS. lol, I had a real life relationship, identical to the one that Jane and Stella share, which is brought to life again in every episode I watch, making me laugh more than I have in years.
I’M BEGGING THE CANADIAN TELEVISION NETWORK TO PULL JANE OUT OF MOTHBALLS AND GIVE HER THE CHANCE SHE DESERVES AT A DECENT TIME, AND HEAVILY PUBLIZIED ON VANCOUVER ISLAND, BC CANADA! PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I CAN BUY THE DVD’S OF ALL EPISODES, SO I CAN WATCH THEM THROUGH THE DAY.
I BEG YOU TO GIVE THE JANE SHOW THE CHANCE IT DESERVES OUT WEST HERE IN CANADA, WHERE MOST OF THE POPULATION WORKS ON THIS ISLAND!
