Upcoming series: The Line premieres March 16

THE LINE (Canadian Original)

Created and written by playwright/screenwriter George F. Walker and his writing partner Dani Romain, The Line tells the story of Max and Donny, two cops who are as morally ambiguous as the criminals they pursue. Max has lost interest in conventional police work and has developed his own methods for dealing with the criminals he seems hell bent on destroying. Donny has almost been completely torn apart by the job, yet seems dementedly optimistic in the face of his crumbling life. In this dark comedy, actions beget consequences that seep outwards, affecting not only cops and criminals but also the people who surround them: their wives, mothers, children and brothers. Set largely in a suburban wasteland that could border any city, The Line is a multi-layered story woven around a group of fully human characters. The Line is a 15-part series and stars Linda Hamilton (The Terminator), Sharon Lawrence (NYPD Blue), Ed Asner (Mary Tyler Moore) and Wes Williams (Instant Star). The Line premieres Monday, March 16 at 9 p.m. PT on Movie Central and 10 p.m. ET on The Movie Network. Available in HD.

  1. Why the name change? Also, I hate to see that fear-of-Cancon mentality in lines like ‘that could border any city.’
