Temple Street Productions and Family Channel Announce the Start of Production of a New Series: Angel On Campus

Temple Street Productions and Family Channel announced today that principal photography has begun on a new youth series, Angel on Campus, and will continue production in Toronto throughout the summer.

Angel On Campus was created by Frank van Keeken (Kids in the Hall, Mad About You, Billable Hours, The Dating Guy), who also serves as an executive producer on the show.

“Angel on Campus is a very funny series with hilarious plots and some outrageous characters. We think it will really resonate with tweens and teens and get them laughing out loud,” said David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg, Executive Producers and Co-Presidents, Temple Street Productions.

“Family Channel is excited to be working with Temple Street Productions on this original comedy series,” said Kevin Wright, Senior Vice President, Programming, Astral Television Networks. “Angel on Campus presents a fresh concept and a unique perspective on the teenage experience that will be a great fit for our service.”

Angel on Campus is a 13-episode sitcom about a teenage odd couple – Angel-In-Training (AIT) Porter Jackson and Carl Montclaire, a high-school student plagued with bad luck. AIT Porter has been sent to Earth in order to earn his wings. But first he must complete his assignment of transforming down-on-his-luck Carl into the most popular kid at school.

The heavenly cast includes Demetrius Joyette (The Latest Buzz, Roxy Hunter and the Horrific Halloween) as Porter Jackson, and Dylan Everett (Booky’s Crush, Coopers’ Camera) as Carl Montclaire.
