Just wondering how much background research they do on the families to find out if they are telling the truth about their financial situation.
Interesting question, Anonymous. It’s a reality TV show not an inquisition. The premise of the series is to show if a community can a work together to increase the community’s (audited) net worth by being successful at the challenges presented to the families. Background finances are irrelevant.
My son & daughter T-J & Phaedra are on the series and their situation is quite real. It has been a real eye opener for us as well.
Watched the show, and i can see how a show like this can bring a town together, and at the same time provide a real learning experience on how families spend their money. I would love to see this show come to our town of Smithville and really bring a sense of community, by working together – and also to benefit each family by truly understanding our worth, and how to reach our maximum capacities so that we can realize our goals. Any info on how to apply would be great!
