From Jonathan Chevreau of the Financial Post:

  • Reality show puts spotlight on fiscally fragile families
“If debt were a swimming pool, we’d be drowning,” one beleagured couple tells the cameras. Co-host Bruce Sellery comes across like Jeff Probst, host of Survivor: alternatively scolding and cajoling the local citizenry about their financial waywardness. In Sunday’s debut, Sellery and clinical psychologist Joti Samra introduce themselves by jumping out of an armoured truck while a helicopter sprinkles dollar bills from the sky. Read more.

Such steamy antics are par for the course on Lost Girl, and Silk, who laughs at the fact this interview is being conducted while she’s simply wearing a robe, was well aware what was in store for her when she signed on. Pascale HuttonHIGHRES

From Lorne Eckersley of the Creston Valley Advance:

  • Creston’s Pascale Hutton starring in CBC series, Part 1
“It really has kind of taken me aback,” she said. “Canadian series aren’t usually so heavily promoted and supported. But there seemed to be a momentum growing while we were filming and we started to get a sense that we were involved in something special.” Read more.
