  “An Oro-Medonte youth camp has been buzzing the past few days, and not with young summer campers, but rather well-known Canadian celebrities. Youth Leadership Camp Canada, located on Moon Point Drive just south of Orillia, has been transformed into a television set for a week, with the two-day filming of the CBC television series Being Erica.” Read more.

Temple Street Productions and CBC Television announced today the return of one of the year’s most talked about new series, Being Erica, which started production for Season Two on June 1, 2009 for 12 episodes.

Canada’s current “it girl”, Erin Karpluk, is back for the second season as the endearing, funny and adorably candid Erica Strange. This season, more is also revealed about the mysterious Dr. Tom (Michael Riley) and his colleague Dr. Naadiah (Joanne Vannicola). Tyron Leitso also reprises his role as Erica’s charming boyfriend Ethan. Returning cast members include Vinessa Antoine (Judith), Kathleen Laskey (Barbara Strange), John Boylan (Gary Strange), Reagan Pasternak (Julianne Giacomelli), Morgan Kelly (Brent) and Joanna Douglas (Samantha). Additional casting will be announced soon.
