Building on last year’s record-breaking six-week run, Much unveils an additional telenovela week this Summer, and kicks off a new season of the Peabody Award-winning series with an hour-long special guest starring Keke Palmer (Akeelah and the Bee, TRUE JACKSON, VP) as herself. New episodes of DEGRASSI air weeknights, Monday-Thursday at 9 p.m. ET, through Thursday, September 1 on Much, MuchHD, and MuchMusic.com.

Lights, Camera, Action! MuchMusic’s #1 Hit Show DEGRASSI Begins Production on Season 11

• DEGRASSI returns to its highly successful telenovela format beginning this summer on MuchMusic

After three decades of groundbreaking and controversial storylines, MuchMusic’s #1 hit show DEGRASSI returns for an impressive 11th season this summer. Fans get their daily DEGRASSI fix as the show premieres for the second year in the highly successful Monday to Friday telenovela format, this year extending that run to seven weeks. With the enrolment of three new students and storylines that push the envelope even further with social topics facing teens today, DEGRASSI is guaranteed to set the bar higher than ever. Production for Season 11 has already begun in Toronto.

Joining DEGRASSI this season is the charming heartthrob Jake Martin (Justin Kelly), who tells it like it is and tries not to break too many hearts in the process. New student Katie Matlin (Chloe Rose) is a fresh-faced athlete who plays hard on the field but is soft when it comes to matters of the heart. Fun and energetic Imogen Moreno (Cristine Prosperi) is anything but boring, but she constantly fears her one, big secret could be exposed to the entire school.
