FLASHPOINT Mid-Season Premiere Wins the Night with 1.6 Million Viewers on CTV and Climbs with Key Demos
The mid-season premiere of FLASHPOINT was on target Tuesday night on CTV, garnering a massive increase with all key demos and winning the night as the most-watched program on Canadian television with 1.6 million viewers. Compared to the Season 3 premiere in 2010, Tuesday’s debut saw a whopping 90% increase with A18-34, 45% with A18-49 and 20% with A25-54. The multiple award-winning and critically acclaimed series was also #1 overall in Toronto with both A18-34 and A25-54.
FLASHPOINT delivered 55% more viewers than the simulcast of NCIS (Global/CBS; 1.03 million) from 10 to 11 p.m.

In next week’s new FLASHPOINT episode “Thicker Than Blood†(Tuesday, Jan. 11 at 10 p.m. ET on CTV), a bank robbery leads the SRU to the abduction of an upstanding family man, who is forced to pay for the sins of his past. Erin Karpluk (BEING ERICA) guest stars.

Flashpoint’s Sergio Di Zio on Spike and Salinger
“I was about to say ‘it’s the one with the hostage,'” Sergio Di Zio laughed when recalling which Flashpoint episode airs when the show returns in its new Tuesday timeslot.
It is, in fact, the one with the bereaved father accused of murdering his baby … who takes hostages. It’s also a Spike-light episode, but Di Zio promises there’s more of his character in the next five episodes.
