New tonight: The Listener on CTV – “Missing”

10 p.m. – THE LISTENER – “Missing” – ALL-NEW EPISODE

During dinner at Oz’s (Ennis Esmer) parents’ restaurant Toby (Craig Olejnik) and Olivia (Mylène Dinh-Robic) learn Oz is working there during his downtime to save the business from bankruptcy. Toby is initially reluctant, but Oz manages to convince him to use his telepathy to help solve a missing person case for a $100,000 reward to pay the debt.

  • TV partnerships are great – until they’re not
    “The pullout of NBC now leaves CTV to decide if it will fly solo and order a second season of The Listener , sans the U.S. broadcast-licence fee, which ranges from $300,000 to $500,000 an episode (with the remainder of the per-show cost funded by CTV, the Canadian Television Fund and tax credits). So far, Canada’s largest conventional broadcaster has remained mum on the subject.” Read more.
