From the darker-than-dark Durham County to the latest Da Vinci TV movie to Flashpoint, a new series that premiered in Canada and the States last week, Dillon has been almost inescapable on the airwaves. “It’s amazing how these things turn out. It’s HDTV,” the actor jokes over the phone from Toronto, where he’s shooting the police drama, arguably his highest-profile work to date.” Read more.

Emmy noms for The Tudors

CBC TELEVISION’S CO-PRODUCTION THE TUDORS NOMINATED FOR TWO PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS

The second season of THE TUDORS—a Canada-Ireland CBC Television co-production in association with Showtime Networks—has been nominated for two Primetime Emmy® Awards for Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series and Outstanding Costume for a Series. Statues will be handed out live, Sunday, Sept. 21, at the 60th Primetime Emmy® Awards in Los Angeles, California. Canadian viewers will have a chance to catch the steamy and dramatic 10-part Emmy®-nominated second season beginning Tuesday, Sept. 30, at 9 p.m., on CBC Television.
