Slice™, Insight Production Company Ltd. and FremantleMedia Enterprises announced today that Canadian designer Brian Bailey will serve as Mentor on the highly-anticipated Project Runway Canada, guiding the competitors through each of their challenges. ELLE Canada Magazine Editor-in-Chief Rita Silvan and Designer Shawn Hewson, founder of Bustle Clothing will also join host Iman as judges for the series, charged with evaluating – and eliminating – the budding designers. Project Runway Canada premieres on Slice™ in October 2007.

Happy that she got her way with Darius, Jude is on top of the world until “revealing” photos of her surface and a blackmailer threatens to destroy her hard-won credibility. Total Drama Island coming to Teletoon

World’s First Animated Reality Show for Tweens Premieres on TELETOON

Fresh TV’s Jennifer Pertsch and Tom McGillis have created the first reality show for tweens that isn’t real at all – it’s animated. Total Drama Island is set in a remote summer camp in Northern Ontario where a group of teenagers are forced to endure a summer of leaky cabins, crappy food and increasingly insane challenges. Only one camper can win – the rest will walk the dreaded Dock of Shame. The half-hour series launches on TELETOON Sunday, July 8 at 8pm ET / PT with a one-hour pilot episode. The series will then air in its regular time slot of Thursdays and Sundays at 8:30pm ET / PT.

    Stefani Groulx of Cornwall, Ont., couriered her Next Top Model application two days before it was due. The next day she went online to make sure the package had arrived safely. It hadn’t. “I was freaking out,” Groulx says. “If it wasn’t in Toronto, I was screwed. I called Canada Post, gave them my tracking number, blah, blah, blah. They checked the number and they said, ‘You know what? It’s not in Cornwall, but it’s not in Toronto, either. We’re not sure where it is.’

CTV Announces Canadian Idol Top 22

Canadian Idol moves to three times per week beginning Monday, June 25

Ten thousand auditioned, 22 are left. Last night, in a special 90-minute episode of Canadian Idol on CTV, the Top 22 phase of the competition began when judges Farley Flex, Jake Gold, Sass Jordan and Zack Werner revealed their final choices for the elite group of finalists.

Now it’s up to Canada to decide the rest as CTV announces the names of the 22 competitors who will put it all on the line for viewer votes beginning next Monday (voting details to be announced soon).
