Budding entrepreneurs pitching everything from sexy and playful underwear to an innovative technology that can mould glass without heat will try to convince five wealthy Canadian business executives (the Dragons) that their idea is the next big thing. DRAGONS’ DEN the five-part, one-hour series premieres Wednesday, Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. on CBC Television. In this high-stakes game of all or nothing, the candidates must face a panel of Dragons, who will invest up to $1 million of their own cash to bring dreams to reality for those chosen entrepreneurs.

CTV announced today that it has scheduled one of TV’s most-anticipated new sitcoms The Class alongside Canada’s most-watched comedy series Corner Gas on Mondays from 8 – 9 p.m. ET (check local listings) beginning September 18, creating the most laugh-filled hour of comedy on television this Fall. First at 8 p.m. ET, the co-creator of Friends (David Crane) returns to television with The Class, a half-hour comedy starring Jason Ritter, Lizzy Caplan and Andrea Anders. Then at 8:30 p.m. ET viewers can fill up with a whole new fourth season of laughs when Canada’s hit comedy series Corner Gas returns with 19 new half-hour episodes.

With special guest stars such as Prime Minister Stephen Harper, former Governor General Adrienne Clarkson, Olympic champion Cindy Klassen and Canada AM hosts Seamus O’Regan and Beverly Thomson, the new season of Corner Gas will also air Saturdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Sept. 23 on The Comedy Network. Fans can also look forward to full episodes and original Webisodes on The CTV Broadband Network at www.ctv.ca, the publication of the official Corner Gas book and the release of Season 3 on DVD.
