In the news: Robson Arms coming this fall

Sean Davidson of Playback reports on Robson Arms’ fall return:

  • Robson Arms returning in fall
“Robson debuted in the summer of 2005 and returned earlier this year to the net’s Saturday night lineup, where it held its ground against CBC powerhouse Hockey Night in Canada, drawing between 300,000 and 400,000 viewers per episode. Its move to Monday puts it up against the second halves of Intelligence on CBC, the Global hit Heroes and the untested E! drama K-Ville.”

In the news: Interview with John Cassini

John Doyle of the Globe and Mail talks to John Cassini of Intelligence and Robson Arms:

  • Hey, don’t I know you from that other show?
“I was hired for Robson Arms but it took so long to get on the air that I was already doing Intelligence by the time it aired. Believe me, there was no master plan to have two great jobs in Vancouver. It gets very busy but I’m not complaining, I’d be an asshole if I complained about this situation.”

In the news: Vancouver TV production

John Doyle reports from Vancouver:

  • Live from Vancouver, where the action is
“Intelligence comes from Haddock Entertainment, as did Da Vinci’s Inquest and Da Vinci’s City Hall. All three have been made here, set here and have dealt with issues that directly reflect the reality of life in and around Vancouver. Da Vinci’s City Hall focused to an extraordinarily detailed and compelling degree on the municipal politics and street life of a major Canadian city. This fall, I understand, there will be a Da Vinci’s City Hall TV movie for CBC. I’ll be talking to Chris Haddock in the next few days about that. I’ll also be talking to John Cassini, who stars in Intelligence as Ronnie Delmonico, the key sidekick to main character Jimmy Reardon (Ian Tracey). Cassini also stars in Robson Arms as Yuri Kukoc, the superintendent of the Robson Arms apartment building. “
