Heartland renewed for Season 11 on CBC; plus season finale images

Giddy up! CBC has made it official: Heartland has been renewed for Season 11. Star Amber Marshall made the announcement Tuesday morning in a video on the show’s official Facebook page.

“I wanted to thank you all for watching Season 10 of Heartland,” she says. “And I am so excited to tell you that Season 11 will be starting on CBC this fall.” The news comes just days in advance of the season finale, where it’s expected that Amy Fleming and Ty Borden will welcome the birth of their first child.

Here’s the episode synopsis for Sunday’s finale, “Great Expectations.”

Amy, Ty and the entire Heartland family are thrilled to welcome a new member into the fold. Meanwhile, the ghost horse returns and Amy disagrees with Georgie’s plan to capture and gentle him. Then, Lou changes her mind about a business deal but not before Mitch makes a surprising choice. And hoping to impress Cass’s parents, Caleb asks a reluctant Tim for a full-time job.

  1. I so do love the show and all of your characters. Best show on tv in my opinion. I am so excited that a season 11 is coming. Thank you all for giving us quality entertainment. Would love to meet you all sometime.

  2. I came across your show by accident and have been hooked ever since i have withdrawal symptoms when season ends, cant wait for new one to start its funny i feel like mine part of the family i was in west canada 3 years ago loved every bit of it felt like home you guys are fantastic hope never ends xxx

    1. So excited for season 11. This is an amazing show and best I have watched in a long time. I finally got my husband watching it, but first had to go back to season 1 so he could catch up on all the characters. He just loves Jack played by Shaun Johnston. All the actors and actresses are fantastic. One minute you want to cry and then next you are laughing.
Sure hope it is around for awhile. It is a breath of fresh air with so many violent shows on TV?
We have been in Alberta where our daughter and husband live in Red Deer and hope to make it next time to where they film some of it.
Thanks to all responsible for such wonderful entertainment.

      1. I absolutely agree. It is a breath of fresh air to watch. Nice clean programming with great storylines. I love it and all the characters! I hope Mitch is back for next season.

  3. I don’t know how to thank all of the Heartland actors and crew, also CBC for this show. We here in the USA have very few shows to watch and not hear bad language as well as vulgar scenes. I am an 88 yrs and its been a long time since this type of family show is in our living room. We here in Florida have a lot of Canadians living here for the winter so they have someone record it for them. Well we have won the Baseball, basketball and hockey games. You win the best TV show in the world. Thanks again Heartland for being with me once a week.

  4. I am thrilled to hear about Heartland Season 11. Best show going in my opinion. Love all the actors and each episode has a teachable moment, through words of wisdom, that everyone can benefit and learn something from. Just love Heartland!

  5. Love this family show. Reminds me of when I was young, we watched shows like this. Wish it was on every nite.

  6. This show has been so awesome I can’t wait for season 11 and hopefully more to come after that I will be going through withdrawals untill the fall

  7. Mitch is nice looking but I have always hoped Lou and Scott would get back together.

  8. We started watching Heartland in reruns by mistake. Greatest mistake we ever made. Lol. Love it. But i’m not sure what season I am watching. It’s the one where Scott and Ty went down in the airplane. Can someone please tell me. Thank you

  9. Just finished10 starting11 tomorrow! My son introduced Heartland to me & now I’m a hooked binge watcher! Keep them coming for years please! LOVE IT!

  10. Love this program! Yes I also would like it to continue forever. I like nice clean love stories and the whole family saga. Someone asked what season was the airplane crash with ty and Scott. That was S3 E 10. Thanks for such a great show.

  11. Love the show so much I live in the u.s. state of Illinois. So addicted. This is by far one of my most favorite shows. I’m so addicted to it driving me nuts waiting for season 11. I don’t want it to ever end lol Amy ty jack Lou just all of you are amazing

  12. I live in Washington State and appreciate being able to get Heartland on the CBC channel. If I could only watch one TV program, I do believe it would have to be Heartland. The writers keep it real and don’t need to sensationalize like so many other drama series. I have seen every episode since Season 1 thanks to the reruns, and that I continue to enjoy them again and again. The cast is perfect and I look forward to the new season, and hopefully, many more seasons after that. I rarely make it through an episode with a dry eye, which means for me that Heartland touches my heart in a special way just about every time.
