Ed’s (Hugh Dillon) at the tail end of a long and brutal shift and looking forward to some much needed time off.  But Petar Tomasic (Danijel Mandic, PLAYMAKERS), son of the man Ed shot at First York Plaza and a war-trained sniper in his own right, has other plans for him. Petar lures them to a downtown public square, where he waits with a sniper rifle and one goal – to kill the man who “murdered” his father.  Now the Team must hunt down the deadliest gunman they’ve ever faced.

Shaw Rocket Prize finalists named

INTERNATIONAL JURY SELECTS FOUR OUTSTANDING CANADIAN PROGRAMS FOR YOUTHS AND FAMILIES AS FINALISTS FOR THE $50,000 SHAW ROCKET PRIZE

The 2009 Shaw Rocket Prize recognises this year’s best Canadian television programming targeted to youths (13-17) and families.

Jury members Adina Pitt, Vice President, Content Acquisitions and Co-Productions, Cartoon Network and Boomerang; Bob Higgins, Head of Creative, W!LDBRAIN; Deirdre Brennan, Director of Programming, Nickelodeon Australia; and Geoffrey Goodwin, Head of BBC Switch, made the announcement at a reception held today during the 10th Annual KidScreen Summit in New York City.

    “Despite a massive promotional campaign, a new night didn’t add any bounce to Being Erica. The CBC fantasy/drama drew 531,000 last night, it’s smallest audience yet (according to BBM/NMR overnight estimates). Worse, only 194,000 of those viewers were in the 25-54-year-old demo.” Read more.
