Ratings: CBC’s Tuesday premieres

A super Tuesday on CBC as Rick Mercer Report, 22 Minutes & Camelot notch ratings milestones

    RICK MERCER and 22 MINUTES dominate their time slots while CAMELOT enjoys a strong opening

The season premieres of the RICK MERCER REPORT, 22 MINUTES and CAMELOT came out swinging on Tuesday night, winning over Canadian audiences and notching new ratings milestones.

At 8 p.m., RICK MERCER REPORT had a stellar season debut with a 2+ audience of 1.2 million viewers, on par with the 2010 season premiere. (All data courtesy of BBM Canada) Among 25-54 viewers, the program captured an audience of 433,000, also on par with the 2010 season premiere.

At 8:30 p.m., the season premiere of 22 MINUTES garnered a 2+ audience of just under one million (981,000), up 29% over the 2010 season premiere (760,000) and up 31% compared to the 2010/11 season overall (748,000). Among 25-54 viewers, the program captured an audience of 351,000, up 35% compared to the 2010/11 season overall (260,000).

Then, at 9 p.m., the premiere of the historical epic CAMELOT attracted a strong 2+ audience of just over 800,000 and a 25-54 audience of 376,000.
