Murdoch Mysteries sets sail

From Alex Strachan of Postmedia:

Intrepid Inspector Murdoch is at sea, metaphorically and literally (well, a lake), when Murdoch Mysteries returns for a seventh season Monday. A prominent shipping magnate has received a threat aboard a steamer, the S.S. Battle of the Blades, CBC – Performance 1
Theme: Rock

Meet The Family, City – “Christmas Mom”
Meet The Family features one couple with one challenge: can a new love interest last an entire evening when he or she has to ‘Meet the Family’? Each episode turns a normally mundane encounter into an excruciating test of resolve and commitment as the new love interest becomes an unwitting participant in a totally fake and outrageous family gathering. Unaware that they’ve been set-up by their partners, they enter a house filled with actors whose task it is to make their encounter as uncomfortable as possible, as multiple hidden cameras record their every move. The series premiere sees Michelle introduce her partner David to her Christmas-obsessed mom, downsized dad, pot-head brother and sister Hannah – who is obsessed with David.
