You have to wonder whether Bell Media, which purchased CTV for $1.3 billion last September, is cleaning house creatively. Dance Canada is the third CTV series to be cancelled in the last several days. Sitcom Dan for Mayor, starring Fred Ewanuick, and Brent Butt’s Hiccups both had the plug pulled on them last week. After nine thrilling weeks of competition, Canada has watched her rise to the top mastering every dance style thrown her way, and after tonight’s dance-packed SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA fourth season finale, CTV congratulates JORDAN on becoming Canada’s Favourite Dancer. After 1.6 million votes were cast on Monday night, host Leah Miller announced live this evening that JORDAN Clark (19), a Contemporary dancer from Tottenham, ON has become Canada’s Favourite Dancer, also claiming the prize of $100,000, and a brand new Chevrolet Cruze.
With the final votes now cast for Canada’s Favourite Dancer, CTV revealed details today about Sunday’s first-ever Top 6 SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA season finale, a two-hour dance spectacle featuring 23 performances. Airing Sunday, September 11 at 8 p.m. in all time zones on CTV (8:30 p.m. NL), the jam-packed finale features three new group numbers, Season 4’s most memorable routines, and a surprise performance by two special guests. The judge’s desk will also be extended to fit nine judges including Jean Marc Genereux, Tré Armstrong, Luther Brown, Blake McGrath and guest judges Mary Murphy, Mia Michaels, Rex Harrington, Sean Cheesman and Sergio Trujillo.
