New tonight: So You Think You Can Dance Canada on CTV – Season premiere

8 p.m. – SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA – TWO-HOUR SEASON PREMIERE

It’s back! Hosted by Leah Miller, SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE CANADA returns and is kicking off Season 2 with the Toronto auditions. Judging whether the dancers have what it takes are permanent judges Jean Marc Genereux (ballroom champion and guest judge/choreographer on the U.S. version of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE) and Tré Armstrong (How She Move) and, along with special guest judge Luther Brown (urban choreographer/Sean Combs) and guest judge Mary Murphy from the U.S. version of the hit series.

DVD Release: Flashpoint S1 on Oct. 13

Season One of the Hit Series will be Released on DVD and Blu-ray in Canada on October 13th

Phase 4 Films announced today that it has acquired the English Language DVD rights to the smash hit series FLASHPOINT, starring Hugh Dillon (“Durham County”), Enrico Colantoni (“Just Shoot Me”), Amy Jo Johnson (“Felicity”) and David Paetkau (“Final Destination 2”). Phase 4 will release Season One of the television series on DVD and Blu-ray on October 13, 2009.

Inspired by Toronto’s real life Emergency Task Force, FLASHPOINT is an emotional journey following the lives of an elite police tactical team, the Strategic Response Unit (SRU). The SRU is a team of cops like no other – they’re the elite, the blueblood of the force. High risk is their business, and life-and-death stakes are their world. The action-packed series highlights both the tactical and the psychological aspects of police work and examines the emotional toll of bearing constant witness to the extremes of human distress.

Phase 4 Films will also distribute Season Two, in 2010.
