TV Eh B Cs podcast 31 – Annie Murphy Rocks the Fire Tornado

Annie1Annie Murphy is a graduate of both the Canadian Film Centre Actors’ Conservatory and the Theatre Performance Program at Concordia University.

Her projects have included Beauty & The Beast, Rookie Blue, Flashpoint, Good God, The Story of Jen and Blue Mountain State. Murphy has also spent time on stages in Montreal and Toronto.

She is currently starring in Schitt’s Creek for CBC as Alexis Rose, and the day we recorded, her new CBC web series The Plateaus hit the web with the first five episodes of a story about a band of brother, sister, best friends, lovers, and lastly, musicians.

TV Eh B Cs podcast 30 – Marvin Kaye Looking for Kind’s Kin

MarvinKayeHaving started with a career acting on stage, Marvin Kaye moved to the screen appearing early on shows like Earth: Final Conflict, Due South, and La Femme Nikita. He was the voice of Mort in the animated series Quads!

He was the creator and Executive Producer of the City-TV/HBO critically-acclaimed Less Than Kind which, over four seasons, won numerous Canadian Comedy, Canadian Screen, and Gemini Awards before wrapping up in 2013.

Most recently he’s written a couple of episodes for CBC’s Mr. D. and we wrangled some discussion about relaunching oneself from the plateau of past success.

Greg

For over 15 years, Greg David was a television critic for TV Guide Canada, the country’s most trusted source for TV news. He’s now the Editor for the parent site of this podcast tv-eh.com. He has interviewed television actors, actresses and behind-the-scenes creatives and crew from hundreds of shows over the course of his career.

He has also been featured on the other side of the camera as a trusted source for TV-related opinion on City’s Breakfast Television, CTV’s Canada AM and Global’s The Morning Show, discussing everything from Primetime Emmy snubs to what the hottest new shows are debuting on the small screen.

A graduate of Sheridan College’s Print Journalism program, Greg served as an instructor for George Brown College’s Writing for the Web and Editing for the Web classes.
