Jared Keeso’s new comedy series, I Kill the Bear, premieres November 6 on Crave

From the mind of Jared Keeso comes I KILL THE BEAR, a new, six-part, Crave Original comedy series which drops with two episodes weekly, beginning Friday, Nov. 6.

I KILL THE BEAR is a comedy about a family of bear wranglers for film sets, and why, after 100 years, they’ve decided to make this film their last. The Thibaults – Keeso, St-Pierre, Beauchesne, and Torrens – are a fourth-generation Franco-Ontarian family who make their living wrangling bears on film sets. They’re incredibly kind, well-intentioned people who have spent most of their lives isolated in the bush and suddenly find themselves trying to navigate a Hollywood world they don’t completely understand.

Keeso is joined onscreen by an ensemble cast including: Adrian Holmes (19-2, BEL-AIR), Mixed Martial Arts star Georges St-Pierre (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER), Jonathan Torrens (TRAILER PARK BOYS), Sarah-Maude Beauchesne (BELLEFLEUR), multi-award-winning, Diamond-selling Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger, Kristin Kreuk (SMALLVILLE), Scott Thompson (KIDS IN THE HALL), Dylan Playfair (LETTERKENNY), Eliana Jones (SHORESY), Frederick Roy (SHORESY), and Megha Sandhu (PAINKILLER).

Crave announces casting for Jared Keeso upcoming comedy series, Cats in the Plateau

Crave announced today casting for its latest project with Jared Keeso, CATS IN THE PLATEAU, a dark comedy about two Montréal garbage men who start a gang. The series was recently announced as part of Bell Media’s upcoming original content slate for 2026-2027.

Created, written, starring, and for the first time directed by Jared Keeso (LETTERKENNY, SHORESY), production on the six-episode, half-hour, series is underway in Montréal, QC and it’s set to premiere on Crave in 2027.

Keeso is joined onscreen by an ensemble cast including Alexander Calvert  (SUPERNATURAL), Robert Bazzocchi (RIPPLE), Sarah-Jeanne Labrosse (Crave Original BON COP, BAD COP), Brian Gazemar (MEA CULPA), and social media star Lysandre Nadeau (Crave Original LYSANDRE + CLAUDE; BIG BROTHER CÉLÉBRITÉS 1 )

CATS IN THE PLATEAU is about two Montréal garbage men (Calvert and Bazzocchi), tired of living at the bottom of the social and financial food chain, as they attempt to catapult themselves to the top by starting a gang.

The series is distributed internationally by New Metric Media.

The new series from Jared Keeso is produced by New Metric Media, in association with Play Fun Games. Jared Keeso is Executive Producer, director, writer, star, and creator, with story by Keeso and Producer Jason Kitts. Jonathan “JoDolo” Diaby and Aurèle Gaudet serve as Producers. Montreal’s most famous garbage man and author of the spirited memoir “Trash: A Garbageman’s Story”, Simon Paré-Poupart, serves as Creative Consultant. Crave original series Shoresy scores fifth season renewal ahead of Season 4 premiere

Crave confirmed today that the puck drops on Season 4 of its smash-hit original comedy series SHORESY, Friday, Jan. 24. The six-episode fourth season premieres with two episodes on Jan. 24, followed by one new episode on subsequent Fridays. Crave also announced today that SHORESY has been renewed for a fifth season, and goes into production later this spring.

Created by and starring Jared Keeso, and produced by New Metric Media in association with Play Fun Games, the new season follows Shoresy (Keeso) as he explores life after hockey, and the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs contend with the distractions of summer in Sudbury, ON.

Returning cast starring alongside Keeso are: Tasya Teles (THE 100) as Nat; Blair Lamora (Paranormal Nightshift) as Ziigwan; and Keilani Rose (FLIMSY) as Miigwan. From, Montréal, QC, rapper Jonathan-Ismael Diaby stars as Dolo; and former NHL player, author, and actor Terry Ryan stars as Hitch. Ryan McDonell (THE CROSSING) stars as Michaels; and former Kahnawake Condor and MMA fighter Andrew “The Canon” Antsanen returns as Goody. Legendary all-time tough guy Jon “Nasty” Mirasty, former Carolina Hurricanes centre Brandon Nolan, and three-time Stanley Cup winner, Jordan Nolan star as Jim, Jim, and Jim, respectively. North Bay’s Bourke Cazabon stars as Cory, Listowel’s Keegan Long as Liam, Maclean Fish as Jory, and Camille Sullivan as Laura Mohr.

Guest stars appearing in SHORESY Season 4 include: TSN hockey reporter Kenzie Lalonde; TSN reporter and Olympic gold medalist Tessa Bonhomme; Meghan Chayka, co-founder of Stathletes; and former NHLers Doug Gilmour, Marty McSorley, and Sean Avery; Kim Cloutier (LETTERKENNY); Michala Brasseur (THE HANDMAID’S TALE); Celeste Ziegler (UPLOAD); Amélie McGarrell (COEUR VINTAGE); Eliana Jones (HEARTLAND); Vanessa Matsui (LETTERKENNY); and Maxim Roy (19-2). Chaos is the new normal: Season 4 of CTV original comedy Children Ruin Everything premieres October 17

Parenting: it just gets weirder (and funnier) as kids grow up! CTV announced today that its original comedy CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING returns for its fourth season, airing Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, beginning Oct. 17. A comedic love letter to childrearing, CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING stars Meaghan Rath (BEING HUMAN) and Aaron Abrams (BLINDSPOT) and is created and executive produced by Emmy® Award-winner Kurt Smeaton (SCHITT’S CREEK). Set and filmed in Toronto and Hamilton, Ont., Season 4 consists of 16 half-hour episodes, with the first eight episodes airing this fall.

In Season 4 of CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING, Astrid (Rath) faces the pressure of being the sole breadwinner while James (Abrams) struggles with being a stay-at-home dad. Parenting is more challenging and funnier than ever as the kids grow up and their exposure to the world expands. With more influences and experiences outside of Astrid and James’ watchful eyes, parenting becomes more complicated, involving more guesswork and investigations. This season also finds Felix (Logan Nicholson) asserting more independence and attitude, Viv (Mikayla SwamiNathan) dealing with friend drama at school, and Morris, well, being a toddler. While these new complications may pull Astrid and James in different directions, they always end up on the same page – even if that page is dog-eared and stained with jam.

Also returning for Season 4 are: two-time Canadian Screen Award-winner Ennis Esmer (BLINDSPOT, SCHITT’S CREEK) as James’ best friend Ennis; Nazneen Contractor (RANSOM, HEROES REBORN) as Astrid’s sister Dawn; Dmitry Chepovetsky (KILLJOYS, DEPARTURE) as Bo, Dawn’s eccentric husband; Darius Rota as Dawn and Bo’s 13-year-old son Corey; Veena Sood (CORNER GAS ANIMATED, THE INDIAN DETECTIVE) as Astrid and Dawn’s over-sharing mother Nisha; and Lisa Codrington (LETTERKENNY, THE LAKE) as James’ ambitious former boss Marla. Bruce McCulloch (THE KIDS IN THE HALL) and Anna Hopkins (THE EXPANSE, SHADOWHUNTERS) reprise their roles as Councillor Leonard Flynn and Rachel a.k.a. “Disaster Mom”, respectively. Plus, Scott Thompson (KIDS IN THE HALL), Carolyn Taylor (BARONESS VON SKETCH SHOW), Colin Mochrie (MURDOCH MYSTERIES), and David Cronenberg (STAR TREK: DISCOVERY) are confirmed as new guest stars this season.

On the Season 4 premiere of CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING, titled “Respect” (Thursday, Oct. 17 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, CTV.ca, and the CTV app), Astrid and James realize they are at the dawning of a new era when Felix starts showing signs of pre-teen rebellion. As they struggle to manage his shifting moods, they learn this next phase of parenting might be the hardest one yet. Meanwhile, James tries to ease tensions after he rejects Bo’s job offer.

Earlier this year, CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING earned three Canadian Screen Awards, including a first-ever win for Meaghan Rath for Best Lead Performer, Comedy, a second consecutive win for Ennis Esmer for Best Supporting Performer, Comedy, and a win for Best Writing, Comedy for series creator Kurt Smeaton. Season 3 of CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING ranks as last fall’s most-watched Canadian comedy.

New episodes of CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING also stream Fridays on Crave, beginning Oct. 18. Past seasons of CHILDREN RUIN EVERYTHING are also currently available for streaming on CTV.ca and the CTV app with no subscription or sign-in required, and Crave.
